Quirky narratives, charming visions and occasional bogeymen inhabit Jo Lamb’s strange pictorial world.  Strange it may be, but her world can also be deeply moving in the way it strikes a long-forgotten chord in our memories, and very often makes us smile as well. Jo’s artworks are underpinned by observational drawing and explore colour, line and relations between objects in space. Recurring imaginative themes include the circus, the fairground and childhood memories. She trained in painting and design at Byam Show, Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts, and Goldsmiths’ College London.
